What you suggest is basically that it should work with new rings as it
currently does with new sites. Right now, the only thing I can say is
that it has been suggested before, and is listed at
http://ringlink.org/?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=20 ("Ring
status control for the system administrator").
Seems rather unnecessary for a small webring system having 1 or 2
genuine rings joining monthly? Currently you are notified when a new
ring joins, and can in a few mouse clicks log into admin.pl and delete
it if bogus.
Anyway a new ring doesn't show up in the Ring List until it has sites
(how many to be listed is your choice), so if it just sits there in the
database with no sites, only you will ever know that it exists...
