Unfortunately, I am ignorant when it comes to programming, and I have no idea what taint mode actually does.

I don't know *all* the details, but I know that enabling it is a strongly recommended security measure.


My guess is that Yahoo! is simply too cheap to care.

The thing is that it's a built-in Perl feature. Accordingly, you need to do some installation or configuration oddity to make it not work. That's why I'm wondering.
