hello everyone-
my name is brock reese, i run the crickrock.com ringlink system.  i set it up in october of 2000. then in feb of 2001 i moved to east africa for over two years doing missionary work but kept the system online hoping it would still keep itself up.  well, i was surprised/excited when i got home to find that over 2,000 webrings had signed up under my system and everything seems to be working fine still.
the other exciting thing is the imrovements and upgrades that you all have done with ringlink.  i can't wait to get my system working under version 3!
the only problem is i'm having difficulty with the installation- i'm getting the error:

Error!
Problem with the $rlmain::sitecountpath variable in rlconfig.pm:
/www/crickrock.com/www/ringlink/sitecount does not exist.
I know it's probably a path problem, because i see others had this same problem, but i've tried everything and i can't seem to get it right!

i'm setting up a test version of ringlink 3.03 at www.crickrock.com/cgi-bin/ringlink/
this is on a virtual server hosted by hostex.net, here is their info about cgi:

please help me!
-brock

p.s. while following the installation instructions carefully, i found the step of creating a sitecount directory to be very vague- i didn't get it until i read past support questions.  i think others had this same problem too.
