First thing I would do (which you probably have) is contact Sourceforge.

What are the user and group permissions of all the site's files?

Somebody is sabotaging the Ringlink website. The culprit has access to
the SourceForge shell servers, but unfortunately that doesn't help much,
since 521,275 other users have as well...

The activities have been carried on for a while, but previously I wasn't
100% sure that it was deliberate destruction. Now I am. Even if the
creature cannot do very much, it systematically looks for weak points
where the primary security messure is backup taking.

If, contrary to expectation, anybody who reads this would know something
about it, I really would appreciate a hint.

Thanks in advance!
