nope, that didn't work. Also I double checked and made sure all the
permissions are set right and it still doesn't work, I even
reuploaded the files and forced it to ascii mode instead of the auto
and then double-checked all the permissions and I'm still getting the
500 error. And I don't think I have access to the raw error log, so
I can't see if it mentions any errors. Although I did run the perl -
cw langinstall.pl from the shell and it still comes back saying
syntax is ok.

This is a long shot, but I'd start trying:
1) Change the setting of $rlmain::DBM_File in rlconfig.pm to
$rlmain::DBM_File = 'SDBM_File';
2) Run langinstall.pl
Let us know if that makes a difference.
