The error message appeared when the system owner clicked the 'Backup data' button from admin.pl. The reason proved to be that the default language was something else but English, and the translation of 'Backup data' was identical with the translation of 'Backup ring'.

When translating Ringlink, it's important that each English button label is assigned a unique equivalent.
