That's how you change the *customized* code for a webring. But to change the *default* code for new rings, you need to edit the subroutine 'sub defaultcode' in ring.pm.

Let me add: Typically it's not a good idea to edit other program files than rlconfig.pm and the template files (mainhtml.pm, admhtml.pm, and mailhtml.pm). If you do it, among other things, you make future upgrades more difficult. So think twice.
