Hi I'm new and first
off all thanks to Gunnar for the great software.
I'm not sure whether I should be posting this or
not but here goes anyway.
I've setup Ringlink on my local
PC which is Windows 98 running Apache server and ActivePerl. I wanted
to configure things locally and get a more rounded understanding of what I was
trying to accomplish in the live situation. When I eventually go live I have
two
choices of server with my first choice being NT (not because it's my favourite
OS) and my second some sort of unix or linux box. I don't know much about Unix
and NT sometimes has script problems hence my reasons for testing
locally.
Anyway my problems are I have added <FONT
face=Arial size=2>2 rings but can't log onto any of their ring admin pages
as I get the dreaded password error "Error! Can't get registered password" .
The second problem is I can't add any sites it says
"Ring is configured so that the "Add new site"
feature is not publicly available. You may want to contact the ringmaster to
ask
for a new site to be created."
I have set and reset the variable like so <FONT
size=2>$allowringadd = 1; from rlconfig.pm file and can't figure out whats
going
on.
One thing I noticed after adding the rings was that
I was left sitting at a blank page but when I went back into the admin page
logons the rings are added to the select boxes.
Please help or point me in the right
direction.
